Modernism’s timeless functionality and utilitarian beauty are constantly reinterpreted in the world of design. New Modernist Type gathers hundreds of contemporary examples showing how simplicity, clarity and homage to historical modernism are still at play in the work of today’s most exciting graphic designers.

This project introduced me to the world of publishing and how long it actually takes to get a book published (roughly 2.5 years and 1,500 emails). I was brought onto the team as a research assistant and an assistant designer. I was responsible for seeking out current designers/studios that had work that utilized modernist type and design, maintaining those relationships throughout the book process, and eventually curating and laying out pages for the U.S. and French versions of the book.
